At this time, the City of Costa Mesa does not employ a lobbyist on its staff or as a consultant. The City does pay $20,346 annually to be a member of the Assn. of California Cities-Orange County, nonprofit established to be a resource for elected officials and municipal staff. Its mission is three-fold: To serve as  educational resources for city leaders; to be the hub for good public policy in Orange County and Sacramento; and to serve as the catalyst for regional collaboration.
