The beloved Snoopy House holiday display has been a Costa Mesa and Orange County holiday tradition since 1966, attracting an estimated 80,000 visitors annually. This year, Snoopy House, is celebrating its 51-year anniversary.

The holiday display features scenes populated by "Peanuts" characters and is available for viewing from 5:30 to 9 p.m. nightly from Dec. 14 through Dec. 23 in front of Costa Mesa City Hall located at 77 Fair Drive. Opening night will be Dec. 14 with a formal presentation beginning at 5 p.m. Santa will make special visits to the event from 7 to 9 p.m. from opening night, Dec. 14, through Dec. 23. Children and their families will have opportunities to receive free photos with Santa.

Snoopy House first made its appearance at City Hall in 2011 when the Jordan family, faced with some difficult financial times, considered putting an end to the display that had graced their home each holiday season since 1966. With the fate of the Snoopy House in jeopardy, the City of Costa Mesa agreed to host the display and provide other assistance. This partnership with the Jordan family saved the holiday tradition, provided an even larger venue for it and additional features including nightly live music and free train rides for children.
