Sandbags available at City Hall
Areas in Costa Mesa are experiencing localized flooding and several streets have been temporarily closed. Current closures include Bristol Street at the 73 freeway and portions of Arlington Drive, 17th Street and Pomona Avenue.
The city’s maintenance service crews are responding throughout the city and patrolling potential flooding spots to make sure catch basins are clear of debris and operational. Crews are also ready to respond to other weather-related incidents. Please report flooding issues to 714-754-5250.
Sand bags are available for free to Costa Mesa residents in the southeast corner of the City Hall parking lot at 77 Fair Drive and Fire Station No. 4, located at 2300 Placentia Avenue.
Both city hall and the fire station are self-service locations with shovels available for use, but staff may be available to assist during peak hours. The number of sandbags is limited to 15 sandbags per household. No commercial use please.
