The Costa Mesa Communications and Marketing Division is committed to becoming the public’s main source of city information through credibility, innovation and collaboration.
Communications and Marketing informs, educates and engages the Costa Mesa community through timely and accurate information through a variety of channels and publications, including the City of Costa Mesa website, Costa Mesa Minute, CMTV, the City Hall Snapshot e-newsletter, the city news blog and social media platforms Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Nextdoor.
The two main goals of the Costa Mesa Communications and Marketing Division are to promote information and events through a clear and unified voice; and to ensure the public’s business is being handled in a transparent matter. The division staff manages the following city initiatives:
- Public information and education
- Media relations
- Social media posting and monitoring
- Video production
- Mail, printing and graphic design services
- Website development and maintenance
- Special Events
- Internal communications
Recent communications and marketing efforts have resulted in a wide array of successful partnerships and event support and coordination with local agencies and organizations such as Travel Costa Mesa, OC Fair & Event Center, the Costa Mesa Chamber of Commerce, South Coast Metro Alliance, Los Angeles Chargers, the Costa Mesa Community Run, the Costa Mesa Fish Fry, and the Snoopy House Holiday Extravaganza.
