Until further notice, Costa Mesa City Hall is CLOSED to the public in keeping with Governor Newsom’s direction regarding COVID-19.

Development Services will continue to offer services online, and via email, telephone or conference line in order to follow the Governor’s guidance and reduce the potential spread of COVID-19. Please see below for more information:

Inspections 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Costa Mesa Building Division will continue with inspections, so long as State and local health guidelines are being followed and conditions are safe.  Staff will perform remote inspections via FaceTime, Skype, photos, etc. whenever feasible.  Please call (714) 754-5626 or submit an inspection request online. Inspection requests submitted before 3PM on a business day will be scheduled for the following business day. Inspections are performed daily between 7AM and 4PM. To verify an inspection request was received or to find out who your assigned inspector is, please refer to our online daily inspection list. The daily inspection list for the following day is posted online at 5PM. To find out the time of your inspection, or to make any special requests or arrangements, please contact your assigned inspector between 7AM and 8AM the morning of your inspection.
