The City Council approved the merger of the Finance Advisory Committee and the Pension Oversight Committee, creating the Finance and Pension Advisory Committee (FiPAC). FiPAC meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in Conference Room 1A. The committee consists of seven (7) members serving staggered four-year terms. (New time effective 10/11/17).

The scope and purpose of the FiPAC shall be to advise the City Council in advance of significant votes, on issues related to significant financial matters.  The FiPAC shall advise the City Council annually on the adoption of the City’s budget (both the operating budget and the Capital Improvement Program), the allocation of any budget surpluses, the City’s investment performance and policies, multi-year forecasts presented by City staff to the City Council, and adjustments under consideration at the time of the mid-year budget report. Individuals shall have backgrounds that include experience in securities trading, financial planning, banking, auditing, accounting or a closely related and relevant field. All members shall be residents or individuals that conduct business within the City.
