Welcome to the City of Costa Mesa's Art Crawl Experience! This free program is a pilot program and an initiative of the Arts & Culture Master Plan approved by City Council in March of 2021.

Art Crawl Musical Arts Flyer

DATE: May 24, 2025

SHUTTLE PICK-UP & DROP-OFF LOCATION: Costa Mesa City Hall at 77 Fair Dr. Costa Mesa, CA. 92626

TIME FRAME: 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Shuttle Stops 

3:30 pm-3:45 pm: Participants board shuttle at City Hall and travel to first stop.

STOP 1 (4:00 pm-5:00 pm): 17th Street Recording Studio

Participants will meet Lewis Richards, the owner and operator of 17th Street Recording Studio, and discuss his business in Costa Mesa. Participants will also experience a recording session led by Lewis, working with local Orange County band, Nice & Swell.

STOP 2 (5:30 pm-7:00 pm): The Wayfarer

Participants will be offered dinner (a hosted taco buffet) and adult beverages (a no-host cash bar will be available) and talk to staff about the basics of managing a live music venue and bar. Participants will also experience a live sound check with local band, Fu Manchu. (It’s gonna be loud………………!)

STOP 3 (7:30 pm-9:30 pm): Mozart’s Requiem with Pacific Chorale and Pacific Symphony

Participants will experience a full production of Mozart’s Requiem with the Pacific Chorale and Pacific Symphony at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall (a world-renowned concert hall).

Also, if you haven’t ever toured any of the venues at the Segerstrom Center Campus, sign up for a free guided tour here (definitely worth it and so interesting……):

9:30 pm-9:45 pm: Participants board shuttle at Segerstrom Center for the Arts and travel back to City Hall.

10 pm: Return to City Hall

Registration is required for this event, as event capacity is limited. All participants must be 21 years old and over to attend and a waitlist will be available.

***Please note that placing your name on the waitlist for the May 24, 2025 Art Crawl Experience, does not guarantee admission to this event. You will be called and emailed if a space opens up.
