Welcome to the City of Costa Mesa's Art Crawl Experience! This free program is a pilot program and an initiative of the Arts & Culture Master Plan approved by City Council in March of 2021.

DATE: May 30, 2026

SHUTTLE PICK-UP & DROP-OFF LOCATION: Costa Mesa City Hall at 77 Fair Dr. Costa Mesa, CA. 92626

TIME FRAME (includes pick-up and drop-off): 11:00 am to 6:00 pm

Shuttle Stops 

11:00 am-11:30 am: Participants board shuttle at City Hall and travel to first stop.

STOP 1 (11:30 am-12:30 pm): Randy Higbee Gallery

Participants will tour multiple areas of the Randy Higbee Gallery and learn how this unique creative industry thrives in Costa Mesa.

STOP 2 (1:00 pm-2:30 pm): Mercado, Northgate Market

Participants will enjoy a no-host lunch and explore the murals that adorn this building on the outside and inside.

STOP 3 (3:00 pm-5:30 pm): Urban Workshop

Participants will tour the facility and learn about the silk screen process and how to heat press patches onto canvas bags. 

5:30 pm-6:00 pm: Participants board shuttle to go back to City Hall.

6 pm: Return to City Hall

 

Registration

Participants must be 21 + to submit an entry online for the Costa Mesa Art Crawl lottery to attend the 5th annual Art Crawl Experience.

April 10, 2026: Entry form opens online
May 1, 2026: Entry form closes

Things to Note (please read carefully):
  • Signing up for the lottery does not guarantee attendance. Names will be chosen randomly, after the deadline to enter has passed.
  • If you are selected to attend the Art Crawl, an email will be sent on May 4, 2026 via email. Please ensure that your email address is correct.
  • Each name and correlated email may only be used once to enter. Duplicate information will be deleted.
  • One entry equals admission for two people if selected.

ART CRAWL ARCHIVE

Musical Arts

Visit to17th Street Recording Studio, to hear a recording session led by Lewis Richards (owner and operator), working with local Orange County band, Nice & Swell.

Visit to The Wayfarer, music venue for a live sound check with local band, Fu Manchu. 

Visit to see a full production of Mozart’s Requiem with the Pacific Chorale and Pacific Symphony at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall.

Functional Arts

Visit to South Coast Plaza to see and discuss the Jewel Dome with SCP marketing staff

Visit to Sean Woolsey Studio to tour his workshop and learn about his local furniture business

Participated in a ceramic hand building workshop at ARTime BARRO

Visual Arts

Artist Studio Visits: Kate Ryan and Gabrielle McLean

Curator led experience with Courtenay Finn and behind the scenes tour at the Orange County Museum of Art

Theater Arts

Visit to the Costa Mesa Playhouse for a tour and introduction

Visit to The LAB for dinner and talk with owner, Linda Sadeghi

Attended a full production of Quixote Neuvo at South Coast Repertory
