The City of Costa Mesa employs two teams of Field Ambassadors to ensure that the needs of the community are met and to assist with any issues that may arise during use of athletic fields in Costa Mesa.

The Field Ambassador program provides valuable information concerning the proper use of fields and facilities. Field Ambassadors ensure that the appropriate user groups are using the permitted facilities and that users are following field use rules and regulations. This is a highly visible position that opens and closes field gates, controls lights, supervise sites, transport event materials and occasionally help with set up and tear down of events. Field Ambassadors provide supervision and education, but not enforcement. Please note that Field Ambassador working hours are 3:00pm – 10:30pm during the week and 7:30am – 10:30 pm on weekends.
