CMPD implements a geographic-based policing model, which divides the city into two areas, based upon calls for service and geographical boundaries. Each area is overseen by Area Commander (Lieutenant). Area Commanders are responsible for overseeing patrol operations and the delivery of police services to the communities within the designated geographical area.
