The Teen Academy provides high school students from Costa Mesa with an opportunity to learn more about the Costa Mesa Police Department, understand core police functions, explore careers in law enforcement, and participate in hands-on activities. Participants will also have the opportunity to go on a ride-along with an officer. The program is designed not only for participants who have an interest in law enforcement as a career, but also for those who just have a desire to learn more about police work in general. By the end of the five-day program, participants will have a better understanding of how the Costa Mesa Police Department is honored to serve the community.
