Take a break from watching or reading new stories about the pandemic, including social media. Repeated exposure can be upsetting. Follow these quick tips on how you can take care of your body and unwind.

  • Talk to a friend or family member!
    • Use Skype, FaceTime, Zoom, Facebook messenger to connect with loved ones during social isolation.
    • If you are experiencing emotional distress or loneliness during this time, feel free to call (855) 625-4657 or (714) 834-2332. 
  • Take care of your body. Try to eat healthy, well-balanced meals, exercise regularly, get plenty of sleep, and avoid alcohol and drugs.
  • Make time for activities you enjoy!
  • Being stuck inside for prolonged periods of time can be overwhelming. Set times aside during the day for specific activities, providing structure and a little bit of normalcy back to your day.
  • Get accurate information from reputable sources like the CDC or WHO. 
  • Take this time to meditate or improve on your sleep with some helpful tips listed here.
  • Relax by listening to music you love!
