To protect public health, the State Public Health Officer and Director of the California Department of Public Health has ordered all individuals living in the State of California to stay home or at their place of residence except as needed to maintain continuity of operations of the federal critical infrastructure sectors, as outlined at here.

Additionally, the City has cancelled special events through the month of April.

Partner Organizations

Costa Mesa Sanitary District: Regular trash collection and wastewater maintenance schedules remain in place.

Mesa Water: Your tap water remains clean and safe and service is fully operational

OC Fair & Event Center: Full public closure of the OCFEC facilities, including Heroes Hall Veterans Museum, Centennial Farm, Equestrian Center and the administration building lobby until further notice. Click here for list of event cancellations, including Cirque du Soleil’s Volta and Imaginology.

OC Public Libraries: All OC Public Libraries locations will be closed through March 31, 2020. Click here for for information regarding the closures, including book drops, waiver of late fees and available online services.


Newport-Mesa Unified School District: All NMUSD schools are currently closed and expected to resume April 13, 2020.

Orange Coast College: OCC is closed through March 30.

Vanguard University:  Vanguard University is now closed to the public. Click here for the latest updates including remote education for all courses, residence hall closure and more.

South Coast Plaza: South Coast Plaza is temporarily closed and plans to reopen on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.  Select South Coast Plaza restaurants are open only for delivery services, curbside pickup and outside catering.
